Wouter Wippert has taken 3rd place in the bunch sprint that settled the opening stage of the Tour de Bretagne in France.
The opener, 150.5km from Lorient to Inzinzac-Lochrist, was won by Manuel Belletti (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec).
Julian Mertens of the Lotto-Soudal U23 team was 2nd, with Wippert next for Irish Continental team EvoPro Racing.

The team won three stages of Belgrade Banjaluka last week; two with Wippert and one with Aaron Gate.
EvoPro Racing has two Irish riders in the French race; Mark Downey 74th today at 34 seconds and Daire Feeley 126th at 4:55. The race continues for six more stages.
