Eddie Dunbar (Team Jayco AlUla) has suffered a crash on stage 2 of the Giro d'Italia, where he was among a number of fallers in a spill with just over 60km to go to the finish.
Dunbar and Visma-Lease-a-Bike's Olav Kooij were the most shook after the crash and remained by the roadside for a short period trying to gather themselves after the incident on a roundabout.
However, both were able to get back on their bikes and each was also spotted going back to the medical car for assistance, getting patched up as they continued on their way.
Hopefully that incident will not adversely impact Dunbar on the remainder of today's stage 2 as the final to Santuario di Oropa is a testing summit finish.
More to come.
??? | Daarnet in het sprint ging het goed, nu niet... Kooij is betrokken bij een valpartij. Hopelijk met minder gevolgen dan bij Gesink. ?? #Giroditalia
