Eddie Dunbar has put on a dominant display to win the Des Hanlon Memorial A3 race while Fran Meehan has won the women's race.
Eddie Dunbar has won the A3 race at the Des Hanlon Memorial in Carlow after a near race-long solo breakaway.
The O’Leary Stone Kanturk man came home alone ahead of a group of five, with the winning margin a couple of minutes.
In the first ever Des Hanlon women’s race, it was Aquablue’s Fran Meehan on came home solo by over one minute from a small group to claim victory.
The sprint for 2nd place was won by the very promising teenager Josie Knight of O’Leary Stone Kanturk, with Amy Brice of DID in 3rd.
