Dylan Foley has taken his first win of the season in his home race, run by his team, Aquablue CC, in the Minane Bridge Classic in south west Cork this afternoon.

And it was a truly memorable day for the Timmy Barry-led squad who managed a 1-2-3 with Sean Lacey taking second ahead of Keith Gater in third.

Foley and Lacey had been in the day's break along with VeloRevolution's Mick Fitzgerald but when the latter became distanced the former two pressed on to the finish, with Foley taking the win.

And coming as it does after a week that saw the Leaving Cert student named on the Irish U23 team for the upcoming Rás Mumhan, the win comes as another boost for him.

We'll have more from Foley today, Monday.
