The course for tomorrow's UCI Cyclocross World Cup races in Dublin has turned into a complete mudfest today, as these videos show. A number of support races, for senior amateurs and youth riders, were held on the course today and let's just say the going was very heavy.
Last week Dublin witnessed very heavy rainfall and now the temperatures have plummeted, and may get even colder along with snow a possibility. The course is mainly on grass, which has turned into sodden and deep mud; the kind of conditions Wout van Aert (Jumbo Visma) excels in given his power.
World champion Tom Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers) was out on the course today trying his best power through the mud. The British rider is already well-acquainted with the Irish conditions for tomorrow's long awaited showdown on the Sport Ireland Campus in Blanchardstown.
