The UCI Cyclocross World Cup comes to Dublin this weekend, with the main events - for elite men and women - set to unfold on Sunday on the Sport Ireland Campus in Blanchardstown, Dublin. Most of the top cyclocross pro riders in the world will be on the same start line as the Irish national team and other amateur riders from the home scene.

Well known Irish cycling commissaire Gary McIlroy has shot this drone footage of the course, which looks quite muddy following the very heavy rain in Dublin in recent days. If it stays muddy it will be to the liking of the most powerful riders in the field, which will suit Wout van Aert (Jumbo Visma) more than anyone.
Aside from the mud, freezing temperatures may be a big factor this weekend as temperatures have plummeted in Ireland, with the cold snap looking set to continue into the weekend.
