Yvonne Doran (Orwell Wheelers) and Helen White (Stamullen Road Club) have take the Masters 40 and Masters 50 titles at the National Masters Road Race Championships in Co Mayo.

Doran was clearly carrying great form out of the recent Rás na mBan, which she rode with TC Racing, and having had a week to gather herself after the sufferfest in Co Kilkenny, she hit the target today.

Doran claimed the Masters 40 title ahead of Breda Murphy (Carlow RCC), who took silver, with the bronze medal won by Eva Donovan (Black House Racing).

In the Masters 50 race, White went two places better than 12 months ago - when she took bronze in a race won by Orla Hendron (Orwell Wheelers) - to claim the gold medal today.

She topped the Masters 50 podium from Diane Behan (Dungarvan CC) and Colette Quinlivan (West Clare CC).]
