Jinse Peeters (De Ceuster-Bouwpunt) and Manon Bakker (Crelan-Corendon) were both disqualified from the women's pro race at Parkcross Maldegem in Belgium today after a nasty incident.
The duo were vying for position coming into a left hander when they got very close together just before the sharp turn, with tempers soon flaring.
The race was won by Marie Schreiber (Team SD Worx-Protime) by 16 seconds from Inge van der Heijden (Crelan-Corendon), with Sara Casasola (Crelan-Corendon) 3rd at 21 seconds.
