Nathan Keown has claimed the Derrymacash GP in Lurgan after getting clear in a two-man breakaway.
For company he had Kevin Lynch; representing Newry Wheelers whose riders proved so strong last weekend.
However, Lynch just came up short in trying to keep the winning run going. He was forced to settle for 2nd to North Down CC’s Keown.
The duo made it all the way to the finish line in the 44-mile race having been away for most of the contest.
An event for A3 and A4 riders only, it was a handicapped affair over eight laps with two minutes between the two bunches at the start.
Six riders got clear of the A3s on the opening lap and caught what was only a small A4 group up ahead.

In that initial six-man breakaway move were eventual winner and runner-up Keown and Lynch.
Also up the road was Ciaran Dixon (Novo Nordisk Junior) along with Paul Antoine O'Hagan (Banbridge), Lee Harvey (VC Glendale) and Ciaran Cahoon of promoting club Clann Eireann CC.
They caught and went through the A4s, pulling out a gap of just under one minute on the bunch behind.
However, as the bunch began to peg them back, Keown and Lynch took flight on the third lap.
They would never be seen again as behind them the remains of the breakaway were caught by the bunch.
In the closing kilometres Keown got clear of Lynch to win, with Richard McCavana (Phoenix CC) proving best of the rest for 3rd place.
He rounded out the podium ahead of Geoff Alderdice (Dromore CC), Ian McClure (Northern CC) and Andrew Morrison (Maryland Wheelers).
