A delighted Robin Seymour takes his 18th national cyclocross title in St Anne’s Park, Dublin, back in January. Can he do it again in Dundalk in the New Year?

The date and venue has just been confirmed for the 2013 National Cyclocross Championships, with the title races to be decided in Co Louth on Sunday, January 13th.

The races will unfold on an undulating course at Muirhevnamor Park, Dundalk, and will be run by Cuchulainn Cycling Club.

The club tells us the up and down course holds a good test in store, with some technical woodland to be negotiated as well as some fast tarmac sections.

There will be male and female medals up for grabs for elites, vets and juniors.

The club also intends putting on a good event around the Nationals, with an expo planned on site as well as some grass track racing, which sounds like a great idea.

There will also be change rooms, showers and car parking available at the course.

We’ll have more information for you when we get it; very best of luck to organiser Myles McCorry and his team.
