Darragh McCarter wins Donegal Bay 10 mile TT
Continuing what has been a strong season for him to date, Darragh McCarter has won the Donegal Bay CC 10 mile TT.
McCarter, who rides for the promoting club, clocked a time of 21:01. He was 33 seconds clear of runner-up Johnny Kane (Foyle CC).
And rounding out the podium on the day was Christopher Birney; the SportActive men just a further five seconds back.

It was then very tight for the next three placings; just two seconds separating them.
Tilt Talumaa (St Tiernans) was 4th, some 1:03 down. And after him the gaps were one second to Paul Keogh (Yeats Country CC) in 5th and another second to Mark McGirr (Lakeland CC) in 6th place.

In winning today, Darragh McCarter (32) was taking his fourth victory of the season. He has already claimed the PJ Logan Cup and a stage of the Orwell Stage Race.
And just two week ago he took the yellow jersey after claiming the opening stage of the Foyle Three Day.
He was also 6th in the TT at the national championships and rode particularly well in the Tour of the North earlier in the year.
In very testing conditions, and riding against a quality field, he ran out 7th overall and made all the key moves on what was one of the hardest races of the year.
