Danny Bruton began to emerge at DID Dunboyne last year and yesterday took a great win for his new Nicolas Roche Performance Team-Standard Life

Having revealed his potential as a young emerging bike rider last year in the colours of DID Dunboyne, teenager Danny Bruton has not been slow to open his account in the colours of his new team; taking victory at the Des Hanlon Memorial A3 race yesterday in Carlow.
It was another successful weekend for the Nicolas Roche Performance Team-Standard Life with Bruton this time taking the honours ahead of teammate Dylan Foley in second and Mark Shannon of the Burren Cycling Club rounding out the podium.
Fintan Ryan – another of the Roche team - took fourth. They had all been part of the race-winning move that went clear midway through a race that was split to pieces on the opening lap.
Elsewhere, Constantin Bartels of Western Lakes won the A4 event. The German rider saw off the best efforts of Visit Nenagh’s Kevin Moyles with local man Seamus O’Neill (Castlecomer CC) taking third.
