The winner of the Gorey Three Day last year, Daniel Kirwan has been crowned Leinster 10 mile Time Trial Champion after last night’s event in Dundalk, Co Louth.
The Stagg Lucan rider clocked a time of 21.12 and had just three seconds to spare over silver medallist David Walsh (Slaney). Anthony O’Neill was in the bronze medal position for Usher IRC just two further seconds adrift meaning just five seconds covered the A1 podium.
Richard McDonagh (Kilcullen) took the A2 title, while local man Niall Clarke (Cuchulainn) took the A3 gold.
The women’s title went to National Cyclocross Champion Francine Meehan (Aquablue) and Mick Hennessy (Fixx Rouleurs) took the vets crown as Jordan Flood of the promoting club Cuchulainn won the junior gold.
