Daire Feeley has put in a very solid shift in the pro bunch; making the much reduced front group after 204km in the rain in Holland yesterday.

The EvoPro Racing Irishman finished in 24th place in The Tacx Pro Classic Ronde van Zeeland (1.1).

Feeley was part of a 40-rider peloton that arrived to fight it out in Neeltje Jans after 4½ hours in the saddle.

The race was won by Dylan Groenewegen of Jumbo-Visma who just edged out Deceuninck-QuickStep's European champion Elia Viviani.

“It was probably one of the most
mentally challenging races I've ever done; 200km with lashing rain from start
to finish didn't make for an easy day out,” Feeley said.

"It was just full gas all day. Originally I had hoped to get in the breakaway but I missed the early group of five going up the road.

“When a race is over 200km it's just a
war of attrition. With the way Jumbo Visma and Quickstep rode it was always
going to end in a small bunch sprint.”

EvoPro Racing had Feeley and Cyrus Monk
in the front group and Feeley said while he made an effort to contest the
finish, the wet conditions and crashes made for some nervous racing.
