Cyclocross Racing News: Barry, Carroll, Stephens in winning form

Richie Barry was on the mark for St Finbarr's CC at the Sliabh Luachara Cyclocross Race at the weekend; taking victory in Mallow, Co Cork, by a very clear margin.

Barry was just over three minutes clear of the next man home, Conor Hennebry of Dan Morrissey-MIG-Pactimo, with Fionn Desmond of MBCC in 3rd.

On the same day at GAP, Glencullen, Co Dublin, Gavin Carroll (Expert Cycles) took victory in the men’s race in round 2 of the Leinster Cyclocross League.

He was just 16 seconds clear of Richard Felle (Team Worc), with Ronan O'Flynn of host club Orwell Wheelers in 3rd a further 28 seconds back.

In the women’s race in Glencullen, Niamh Stephens (Giant Liv) emerged the winner by 1:11 from Stephanie Roche (Scott Racing) with Sally McHugh (Belpark Tri) 3rd at 1:47.
