James Curry is the new Junior Cyclocross National champion after storming to an impressive victory in very muddy conditions in today’s title race at a packed Ward River Valley Park venue in Swords, north Dublin.

The Banbridge CC man had around 30 seconds to spare on David Conroy (Donnybrook Landscapes Co-Scott) who took the silver medal while rounding out the podium was Conroy’s teammate Gareth Hegarty.

So to go one better this year and take the title will no doubt give him enormous satisfaction.
