Conor Murphy (Caldwell Cycles) has taken a top result on his festive travels through the European cyclocross season, riding a great race to at Superprestige in Mol.

This time last year the junior became the first Irish rider to score a top 10 in a UCI-ranked race in Continental Europe when he placed 7th in Azencross-Loenhout (C1).

And now he has been in the mix again, in his second race of his current trip abroad, placing 11th in Superprestige Mol, mess than one minute behind race winner Noël Goijert of the Netherlands.

Murphy was also in action on Saturday at UCI World Cup Hulst, where he placed 51st riding for Ireland. Esther Wong was also in action in national team colours, placing 58th in the elite women's race.
