Cleo Harvey (Dublin Wheelers) has won the main event at
the latest round of the Women’s Cycling League in Corkagh Park, Dublin.
Harvey, who has been close to a win in the series in
recent weeks, was one of only three riders who last night made it across from
the scratch group to the front of the race.
She made the bridge with Fiona Guihen (Unattached) and Catherine Mahoney (UCD Cycling Club), with none of the other riders they started the race with catching them on the night.

Once in the front group Harvey threw in multiple attacks.
And though they were not initially successful, she got clear on the last lap in
a group of four.
She was alongside Guihen, Gabriele Glodenyte (Unattached)
and Aishling Barry (Dunboyne CC); that group of four surviving to the finish to
fight it out for victory. In the final sprint, Harvey led it out to win from Guihen,
Glodenyte and Barry.
The ‘B Race’ came down to a bunch sprint won by Aine Kelly (Pulse TC), with Karen Robinson (Bohermeen CC) claiming 2nd place and Sasha Gannon (Breffni Wheelers) 3rd.
