Big weekend in store on road racing scene across Ireland

There is an absolutely packed schedule of road racing - with entries still open - coming up this weekend thanks to a huge effort by the promoting clubs (Photo: Sean Rowe)

With Easter falling so early this year, a lot of racing was crammed into April, giving way to a more subdued couple of weeks since then, when the number of races on offer each weekend has been limited.

While we witnessed some great events over the last few weekends, there was often only one race on in the country on a Saturday or Sunday; not a good look when enthusiasm for competition is always at its peak early in the campaign.

However, the post-Easter dip will be brushed away this weekend when there are three significant promotions on Saturday and the same again on Sunday.
