Archie Ryan was one of the best riders at Tour de l'Avenir 2022 and now features in a new documentary on the race regarded as the 'U23 Tour de France'

Archie Ryan went into Tour de l'Avenir last year as the Irish team's protected rider and came out of the race having established a reputation as one of the best climbers in the world at U23 level. And now he, and the Irish team, are set to feature in a new documentary about the race, regarded as the 'U23 Tour de France'.

Ryan (21) proved to be one of the best climbers in the event, behind only overall winner Cian Uijtdebroeks (Belgium), when the hardest climbs were tackled on the closing stages and finished 4th overall. He then went on to use his form to win stages at Tour de Slovaquie (2.1) and Ronde de l'Isard (2.2U).
