Aqua Blue Sport has enjoyed a solid ride in the 40.2km TT at the Vuelta. Peter Koning was 18th, some 2:19 behind stage winner and race leader Chris Froome.
And Lasse Norman Hansen was just outside the top 20. He took 21st some 2:30 down and would have gone better but for two chain slips.
Nicolas Roche (BMC Racing) was 29th at 3:12 and Conor Dunne of Aqua Blue Sport was 106th at 5:54.
Koning said he was pleased to get into the top 20 at this stage of a Grand Tour.

“To go top 20 at La Vuelta is not a bad result and I am glad to do that,” he said.

“This is the first time that I have been at this level and at a Grand Tour so I am here to learn. It is great to finish with the big guys.
“It is not the normal stage, with the breakaways or the sprints, but if you can show yourself in the time trials.
“People have been talking about how good Aqua Blue Sport went in this race and that is a very good thing. I did my best and that is all I can do.”
