Anthony Doyle takes another win at Mondello Park
Veteran Anthony Doyle has taken another win at Mondello Park; something of a happy hunting ground for the Strata 3-Velorevolution rider.
Doyle out-sprinted Robert Jon McCarthy (JLT-Condor) and Cian Keogh (Sports Room Racing) for victory on the night.
Also in the five-man breakaway were Helton Djonei Gomes (Scott Orwell Wheelers) and Billy Crosbie (Sundrive Track Team); placing 4th and 5th respectively.
Conor Murnane of UCD-FitzCycles.ie won the sprint for 6th place from a large bunch.
The leading three forged ahead in a strongman's breakaway once the field came together in the handicapped contest.
However, still out front were Gomes and Crosbie. And when they were eventually caught they stayed with the three escapees to contest the sprint for victory.
It was a third win for Anthony Doyle in recent weeks on the Mondello Park racing track.
In early June he sprinted in ahead of team mate Paul Kennedy and John Priest (Lucan CRC) for victory.
And two weeks later he broke away with Dermot Trulock (Lucan CRC) and beat him in a two-up sprint to the line.
