Judging by today’s performance, Aiken means business again this year
Having been the dominant rider in the Ulster Cyclocross Series last year, Roger Aiken has started this year’s competition in the same style by taking victory in the opening round today, Sunday.
The Banbridge CC man made no mistake at Lurgan Park, Co Down, taking the win ahead of team mate Matthew Adair who, like Aiken, has been one of the strongmen of the past couple of seasons.
In third today was the emerging Bray Wheelers rider Sean O’Tuathail, adding that result to the third place he took in the opening round of the ‘Fixx Coffeehouse Supercross Series’ in Dublin last weekend.
We’ll have a full report and full results later from today’s race.
