Seth Dunwoody (Cannibal B Victorious) and Adam Rafferty (Team 31 Jolly Cycles U19) have gone very close to breaking the Irish junior 10 mile TT record. That Irish marker is currently held by Rafferty's brother, Darren Rafferty, who is riding the Baby Giro with Hagens Berman Axeon and sitting 2nd overall.

Dunwoody and Rafferty have just come off international duty as they rode the LVM Saarland Trofeo, a five-stage Nations Cup stage race in Germany last weekend, where Rafferty was 6th in the TT. Dunwoody was also impressive on the final stage; getting in a four-man breakaway that had 1:30 in hand with 18km to go when the race was cancelled due to a major crash back in the bunch.

Then came the two juniors, Dunwoody and Rafferty, who were 3rd and 4th in a time of 18:49. That was just one second slower than the Irish junior record set by Darren Rafferty in July 2021.
