You can now buy packages to train with An Post-Chainreaction or to go to races with the team.

Having been a feature on the pro scene for over a decade in various guises, the An Post-Chainreaction team is to offer the chance for fans to train or go to races with it.

The Irish-registered Belgian-based Continental level outfit has joined forces with events and hospitality company Cadoudal to sell access to the squad and its riders when racing or training.

It promises those who avail of the offer unique access to the “craic” within Ireland’s team in the international pro peloton.

The first opportunity to join up with the squad is at September’s Tour of Britain.

Day-long packages cost £349 or £379; starting with breakfast with the riders through to a post-stage VIP experience. That’s €409 or €444.  You can get full details by following this link.

The offers have just gone live on the An Post-Chainreaction site.

The new venture is the first time the team is offering for the sale the chance to get up close and personal with its riders and staff.

Team manager Kurt Bogaerts believes the new offering will be a great success.

“This is the first program of its kind to give fans the opportunity to get up close to and experience a big cycling event with the team and the riders,” he said.

“We are very thrilled to work with Cadoudal and we know how much the fans will enjoy these packages that are being put together.”

Cadoudal managing director Eifion Weinzweig said he was excited about the project, adding it would help develop the team’s commercial viability in line with its future objectives.

“The focus of the hospitality is (to) capture the essence of the Irish personality and transform that into the world of cycling, providing plenty of opportunities for guests to see the inside workings of a cycling team, but also enjoy the excellent craic that cycling hospitality could deliver,” he said.

“We see how the Belgians adapt to the cobbled classics and how the French enjoy the Tour; it’s time that that atmosphere and Irish spirit joins forces in an exciting hospitality experience.”
