These two can be seen repeatedly pulling the bikes from these racks at a Dublin apartment block a couple of nights ago. They were rumbled halfway but they gave it a serious go.
Would-be Dublin bike thieves caught in the act on CCTV
A CCTV video recorded at a Dublin apartment block a couple of nights ago captured two youths trying to pull locked bike from the racks.
The incident occurred at Abbeyglen apartments on Pottery Road in Cabinteely, Dublin 18.
One thing to note here is how unsteady the bike rack closest to camera is.
And the ability of these two to move around the bikes they are targeting, so they have the leverage they need, is clear.
Quite clearly they were intent on simply busting these bikes free of their locks by yanking them with force.
So get an expensive lock that can't be broken easily. And also be sure to lock your bike in a way that does not allow it be moved around in the manner seen here.
