Bradley Wiggins may not exactly be setting the world on fire at the Tour of Britain at present, but it’s not for lack of physical condition.

This photo, snapped by Darren Howitt at Alderley Edge on the Tour of Britain yesterday, shows Wiggins still has the skinniest and most ripped legs in the bunch despite having gained 15kgs in the last four years.

The Olympic legend and 2012 Tour de France winner is well known for the physical condition he has been able to get himself into time and again during his career.

He’s gained and lost weight and gained it again with military precision as he’s worked towards goals as varied as the short sharp individual pursuit to winning the Tour and going back to the track for team pursuit at the recent Olympics.

When Wiggins took his last general classification win, at the Tour of California in 2014, he weighed 71.75kg.

By the time he rode in Rio he was 84kg; so that’s a weight gain of 15kg or 2stone 3lbs.

Yet his legs are as ripped as this. Obviously he put on the bulk in the gym and not at the local chipper!
