Wexford Two-Day start lists for three races; over 200 entered

The fourth annual Stafford Wholesale Wexford 2-Day is down for decision this weekend and it’s a measure of how far the race has come that the largest ever field has been assembled.

As was the case last year, three are separate races; the A1 and A2 riders having their own separate event.

There’s also a combined A3 and Junior race and a third race for A4 riders only.

In the very generous prize-fund of over €4,000 there are prizes for the first six unplaced A2s in the combined A1-A2 event.

As well as that, there are prizes for the first six on the first and last stages while the top three in the hill climb time-trial will be in the money.

The opening road stage for A1-A2 and A3-Juniors on Saturday is 112 kilometres while for the women and A4 men it’s slightly shorter at 97 kilometres.

The time-trial on Saturday evening is the same for everyone, as is the third and final 100-kilometre road stage on Sunday morning.

The starting time on Saturday is 11am with sign-on from Camross Hall at 9.30am.
