It may look very innocent now, but in 1974 these tricks were good enough for a feature item on a British TV current affairs show.
These days we're spoiled for TV coverage of top class cycling from around the world, and way from the racing game riders like Danny MacAskill have really pushed the boundaries of the stunts that can be done on bikes.
MacAskill's films have been simply awesome in recent years; his tremendous skills combined with creative scenarios and slick production values to bring us truly memorable footage.
But it wasn't always thus; not by a long way.
Back in 1974 (before anyone working on stickybottle was born, we'll have you know - Ed) British TV show ATV Today tracked down Mike Wilson.
He was billed at the time as Gloucester's budget answer to Evel Knievel. That basically means he did lower rent version of Knievel's tricks on a bicycle.
Reporter David Eggleton filmed this clip at the time and MacAskill has clearly studied this footage very closely (well, maybe not).
It's well worth a look!
