Ramunas Navardauskas of Garmin Sharp was not happy with fans leaning out into the riders as they passed to take photos on their phones and wasn't shy in letting them know.
One feature of the excellent Tour de France Grand Départ in the UK has been the astonishing crowds at the side of the road virtually everywhere along the route, especially on the climbs and in towns.
But on more than one occasion the sheer numbers by the road side and the eagerness of some people who've along to catch a glimpse of the stars has become problematic.
On stage 2 yesterday, Ramunas Navardauskas of the Garmin Sharp team took things into his own hands and made a point of pushing people back to make way for the riders, appearing to flick the camera phone of one spectator out of his hand.
And along another faster flatter section, one of the Giant Shimano boys accidentally shouldered a spectator back into the crowd when bunch and spectators got too close.
His team mate just behind had to bring all of his bike handling skills to bear to stay upright and out of the crowd during the same incident.
A huge number of riders in the peloton have sounded in awe of the size of the crowds in their comments on social media. But some, including home favourite Chris Froome and fellow big gun Fabian Cancellara have urged spectators to be careful.
Froome's Sky team mate, Geraint Thomas said people looking to take selfies were the main problem.
"People have got their back to the peloton taking selfies," he said.
"They don't see us coming, they're stood in the road and it's dodgy. They don't realise we use every part of the road. There are a lot of us and we use every inch."
He added while riders at the front of the bunch could see what has ahead and react; for those riders even a couple of rows back, little or nothing could be seen up ahead.
But apart from selfie-gate, there were also one or two lighter notes during stage 2 yesterday.
The winner on the day, Vincenzo Niabli may be from Italy, the land of lovers; but he made an awful bags of it when he moved it to get the wear from one of the women on the podium yesterday.
And we also had a nice touch along the way when a BMC rider went right out of his way to had a musette bag to a young fan to keep as a souvenir.
You can have a look at all of these incidents in the videos below, courtesy of Eurosport. Britain has put on a wonderful show the last couple of days so let's hope it all goes well again today.
