The Shimano neutral service cars have managed to wipe out two riders at the Tour of Flanders, including a Johnny Hoogerland-style incident when driving over Jesse Sergent in the breakaway.
Have a look at the clips below.
Sergent, a Kiwi riding for Trek Factory Racing, is confirmed as having a broken collar bone.
The escape he was in was the early move of the day and at the time of the crash featured Irish rider Matt Brammeier, who had been putting in a great performance.
In the second clip, FDJ rider Sebastien Chavanel was pulling in to be serviced by his car when that vehicle was shunted at speed from behind by another Shimano neutral service vehicle.
It appears the back bumper came off the FDJ vehicle on impact and knocked Chavanel down and out of the race, much to the fury of his manager Marc Madiot.
