This hapless bike thief is captured on CCTV trying to get at two bikes to steal them.
And when the clip is put on fast forward and set to the Benny Hill Show theme tune the results are wonderful.
The would-be robbery occurred at Woodinville Bicycle in Woodinville, Washington. The project services old bikes and sends them to those in need in the developing world.
Some of the bikes are stored hanging outside the premises and when this would be thief saw two mounts dangling there it was just too much to resist.

On its YouTube account the project posted the following message with the clip recorded last week: “Woodinville Bicycle collects donations for the Village Bicycle Project.
“We store the donated bikes in front of the shop under the canopy. This particular gentleman decided he should be a recipient. Gotcha!”

This guy doesn’t even have the brains to be able to use a ladder properly and seems to be attempting his robbery, not only recorded on CCTV but also right beside a busy road.
The police finally arrive but not before he was left swinging from one of the bikes as the badly erected ladder collapsed under him.
This is the kind of guy should be jailed to protect himself from his own stupidity. Enjoy!
