Video: Wiggins swears live on air but also wins during 'The Jump' debut

It was a pretty weird but eventful post-retirement launch into the celebrity world for Bradley Wiggins. Have a look at the clips and make of it what you will.

 

Less than five minutes into the first episode of The Jump show on Channel 4 last night Bradley Wiggins sent presented Davina McCall into a panic when he swore live on air well before the watershed.

When asked why, as Britain’s biggest Olympic legend, he had chosen to do a show like the celebrity snow sports series, Wiggins said:

“Why not, do you know what I mean? Just to piss The Daily Mail off, innit,” he replied.

McCall went into a flap as the slip by Wiggins occurred just after 7.30pm in the first minutes of the show and well before the 9pm watermark when more adult language is generally accepted on television.

Wiggins as also in action on the snow of course and won his race. He revealed he had been injured the day before but was pushing on with the action.

And in something of a bizarre introduction to the celebrity world after his sporting career, he also revealed he had been offered a role on Eastenders once only to turn it down but may consider of the offer came again.
