Video: Watch Sagan at his best; attacking and bunny-hopping to win

Peter Sagan sprints in for the win and overall lead in Switzerland after demonstrating his full range of very impressive skills along the way.

One of the best entertainers in the pro bunch, world champion Peter Sagan is also one of the very strongest.

And his bike handling skills, as we’ve seen time and time again, are also the stuff of legend.

As the videos below show, he was at his very best in several areas during stage 3 of the Tour de Suisse yesterday.

He won the stage and took the overall lead after a devastating attack, a very sweet bunny-hop over street furniture in the wet and a brilliant sprint at the end of it all.

Sagan’s attack on the final climb of the day – just over 10km from the finish - saw him leave everyone else in his wake and he would close the 30-second gap to the two leaders in no time.

Once on level terms with the duo up front - Silvan Dillier (BMC) and Michael Albasini (Orica-GreenEdge), both riding their home tour – he would beat them in the sprint.

According to Velon’s race date he topped 1,240 Watts in the sprint at the end of the 193km stage from Grosswangen to Rheinfelden.

Velon’s in-race data showed that Sagan put out an impressive 1,240 Watts in the final sprint and reached a top speed of over 65kph, with the next group on the road just three seconds back on the line.

On Sunday’s stage 2 he had won the day, taking his career tally of stage wins in the race to a record 12. And within 24 hours he was pushing that record out to 13.
