Video: Vuelta king of hills hit by own team car in breakaway

Oh dear... When you are up the road going for the stage win and your own team car nudges you from behind...

The Burgos-BH team have done a great job at the Vuelta so
far, going on the attack and holding the climbers’ jersey.

On today’s stage 5 they were at it again as king of the
hills Angel Madrazo Ruiz and team mate Jetse Bol went clear in a three-man
breakaway that pulled out a huge gap.

On the approach to the
final climb, with José Herrada Lopez (Cofidis) for company, they still had 10
minutes in hand on the peloton.

However, their bid to
finish the job very nearly came undone.

The driver of the
Burgos-BH team hit the back wheel of king of the hills Angel Madrazo Ruiz.

That sent him flying
across the road and he almost took out the Cofidis rider to his right.

Thankfully both men stayed upright but it was a nervous moment nonetheless.

Madrazo Ruiz went on to win the stage as the trio from the breakaway survived.
