Video: Truck driver's own dashcam records punch up with cyclist

This truck driver and cyclist went tow to tow on a public road, with passersby becoming involved. It was also recorded on the truckies dashcam.

Thankfully, most road rage incidents involve a bit of irate shouting before the parties move on with no major damage done.

But the incident in this clip proved a completely different ball game.

The fight is recorded on the dashcam inside the cab of the truck owned by the driver in the fight.

Both he and the cyclist didn’t hold back, with things getting quite physical.

And to add to the chaos, another cyclist comes rushing into the scene as does a passing motorist.

All the while the group of people and vehicles parked in the road are blocking the traffic behind while the radio in the cab plays away in the background as the mayhem unfolds outside.

At one stage just as the row seems to be fizzling out, the verbal exchange starts up again and the driver clearly wants to get back into the ring.

Perhaps the strangest part of it all is the way one of the men who intervenes tries to stop the cyclist from leaving the scene and flings him to the ground on the other side of the road.

It all began when the driver – still in his truck – shouted expletives at the cyclist; apparently objecting to the cyclist’s efforts to overtake as they are about to pull away from traffic lights.

Keep cool out there people!
