Have a look at the incredible sequence of events in the clip below. Yes, that is a topless man trying to steal Ben King's bike while smoking a fag at the Vuelta.
By Brian Canty
Ben King could have been forgiven for thinking he’d get sympathy from the spectators by the roadside when he crashed on the run-in to the finish of Tuesday’s stage 4 of the Vuelta A Espana.
The American, a Garmin-Cannondale teammate of Ireland’s Dan Martin, came down a big pile-up and required a bike change with just under 35km remaining.
But King had more than his injuries and mechanical woes to worry about.
He was quickly surrounded by a crowd of men by the roadside, not all of whom were interested in helping him.
Don't know if he was "helping" or taking off as I was searching people for my stolen Garmin. What a cluster! https://t.co/8FeWKyVZyZ

One spectator swooped in and nicked King’s Garmin computer from his bike.
Another man had the audacity to mount the bike and appeared to be trying to make off with it; while smoking a fag, topless.
Luckily for King, he was quick to grab the would-be thief and retrieve the bike, with the shirtless “fan” disappearing into the crowd, though not before being capture by the TV cameras.
However, while King’s bike remained with him, he never managed to catch the thief who took his Garmin.
