The biggest and brightest winter bike display we have ever seen; this is great stuff!
He’s better known for his exploits as part of the Irish paracycling team, but Enda Smyth has been making an altogether different impression on his bike of late.
The veteran of two Paralympics – Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012 – Smyth is clearly taking no chances when it comes to lighting up this winter.
He turned up to a training spin yesterday with the lads from Clontarf CC and got a bit of stick with this display.
But there will be no missing him with this set-up, a factor that should keep him safe as he gets the miles in this winter.
His set-up on the front includes solar flares; two double sets (low beam to avoid blinding cars). Also included up front is a white Aldi strobe on the fork.
He’s got three more on the back including an Exposure flare and Aldi strobe. And he has two generic flashers to catch a driver’s eye from side roads.
In total he has eight lights but two of them are doubles, making 10 bulbs in all!
