This is one of the most miraculous escapes we’ve seen in a long time.
The cyclist in question is crossing the street at a zebra crossing in Tokyo when a car hits her at a very decent clip.
She somehow managed to step from her bike at the moment of impact.
And while the bike went flying, the woman was left standing in the street; apparently uninjured but undoubtedly a bit shook.
The woman was riding one of Tokyo’s rental bikes; similar to the schemes in Dublin and those now being rolled out in other parts of Ireland.
After the smash, the woman gathers up her belongings and even rescues the bike from the road, all very calmly.

You have to hand it to the taxi driver sitting in his car in front of the vehicle that recorded the footage.
Despite witnessing the crash, he simply gets out of his car and examines it for damage before jumping back in without checking if the cyclist was okay.
