This is, without a shadow of a doubt, reckless driving in the extreme; both in terms of speed and how close the motorist passes the cyclist on a Dublin street.
The driving by the motorist in this clip leaves a lot to be desired, and that's an understatement.
The footage was filmed last summer and has just been shared on Twitter by RomaShield27.
It captures the incident at the bottom of Constitution Hill on the way to Phibsboro in north Dublin.
For anyone who knows the area, they'll be aware that the road lay-out is very, very poor.
And while that situation perhaps added to the driver's behaviour, it definitely does not excuse it.
The cyclist is in the cycle lane with a line of bumper to bumper traffic to his right.
The vehicle involved dives into the space between the rider and the line of traffic, just as it narrows, and passes the rider dangerously close and at speed.
Just before the car passes the rider, the line of traffic begins and it appears the motorist committed himself/herself to diving into the space between the cyclist and the line of traffic before that space narrowed any further.
The photo above - which is a still taken from the footage - clearly shows both wheels on the passenger side of the car over the broken white line of the cycle lane by some margin.
The still image also shows the car passing just inches from the rider.
