Video: Team Sky rider's carbon front wheel disintegrates mid TT

The exposed skin on Gianni Moscon's back and his ripped kit tell just some of the story of a very strange incident mid TT when his front carbon wheel fell apart.
Team Sky have been in the eye of a storm of late and it didn't get any better for one of their number in today's opening stage of Tirreno-Adriatico.
Gianni Moscon's wheel seemed to disintegrate, sending him crashing onto the tarmac in a highly unusual crash during the team test.
The TV cameras were there to record what happened and the aftermath.
However, not shown on television was the fact that the same faith befell his team mates Diego Rosa and Mikel Landa in the 22.7km event.
Geraint Thomas said the delays in waiting for five riders to regroup to continue with the ride completely ruined their chances.
And in the end Team Sky finished 1:42 down on winners BMC Racing.
Thomas said the three riders whose wheels fell apart each hit holes.
The impact damaged the carbon rims, with the speed they were riding at - in excess of 60km per hour - taking care of the rest.
The team had gone to Italy with hopes of winning overall; Thomas in particular was hoping to do well having won Paris-Nice this time last year.
Today's mishap follows a sustained period of pressure for the British WorldTour outfit.
An inquiry into medical products and alleged, though unsubstantiated, doping is continuing and has badly damaged Team Sky and British Cycling.
Ever seen this before?
Hope you're okay @GianniMoscon ? pic.twitter.com/7WjfmIvhW0
