Sonny Colbrelli protested over his rival beating him in a sprint. And then he protested some more when his first protest went nowhere. Oh dear!
Video Sonny Colbrelli loses temper at Coppa Sabatini
The hissy fit of the year has to go to Sonny Colbrelli with this effort at the Coppa Sabatini the other day.
He was beaten to victory by Andrea Pasqualon (Wanty-Groupe Gobert) in the bunch sprint.
However, Colbrelli wasn't happy with his runner-up slot, claiming the winner's sprint was unfair. A look at the second video below shows him lose the sprint fair and square.
He sat up and waved his arms about just before the line, though he never even got close to getting past Pasqualon.
But he still decided to lodge a protest with the commissaires. And then he sat on a nearby wall and stewed while he waited for word on his appeal.
When the verdict came back and was delivered to him, it wasn't in his favour, which was captured on video.
That clearly didn't please him and even when Pasqualon came over to say something to him, he was still raging.
