Shortened men's road race champs re-starts in Derry | Sticky Bottle

The men's road race has restarted at the National Road Championships in Derry, with the event shortened by one lap.

That means when the race started and went through the start-finish just after the restarted they had three laps to go.

A breakaway featuring Eddie Dunbar (Team Ineos), Sam Bennett (Bora-hansgrohe) and Mark Dowling (Unattached) was given their lead back when they restarted.

The event was stopped for over an hour after a crash on the course involving a rider and a vehicle.
