Sam Bennett has suffered a crash on the opening stage of the Tour de France but appeared to be untroubled by the incident and got back into the peloton.
There was almost 120km remaining on the stage into Nice when a number of riders crashed. And with the peloton riding along calmly, after a small breakaway up the road, Bennett was under no pressure.
He calmly waited for mechanical back-up from his team. And while he was stopped for a prolonged period he simply got into the cars and then back into the peloton.
