This moto went out of control and crashed, very nearly taking out the riders. And Sagan throws the elbow into Demare to win Eneco stage 4 and take lead.
Peter Sagan stormed in to win his second stage in two days at the Eneco Tour yesterday in Holland and also took the race leader after winning out in a bunch sprint again.
He threw an expert elbow into sprint rival Arnaud Demare (FDJ) on the way, see the clip below.
But while the Tinkoff world and European champion really is riding high at the moment, three other riders had a very lucky escape on the approach to the finish.
A motorbike was ahead of the peloton and right beside a three-man breakaway when it clipped what looks like a safety bale on its right as it exited the roundabout and went flying across the road.
It would have been wipe-out for Astana duo Andrei Grivko and Dmitriy Gruzdev, who were clear with Trek-Segafredo‘s Jasper Stuyven at the time.
The three riders had gone around the roundabout on the opposite side but exited it at exactly the same time and missed the crashing moto – with the driver having apparently lost control – by a matter of inches.
