This really is some clip; French rider François Gissy reaches a world record bicycle speed of 207mph, that's 333kph, and goes from 0 to top speed in just five seconds.

This is definitely something you won't see every day and has to rank as one of the most nuts clips we've brought you this year.

French rider François Gissy reaches a world record bicycle speed of 207mph, that's 333kph.

He goes from a standing start to top speed in just five seconds, or 4.8 to be precise.

He achieved the record this week on a motor racing circuit in La Catallet, France, and in doing so broke his own world record of 285kph he set just over 12 months ago.

The bike is homemade, with specially designed tyres for the task but ordinary brakes.

It’s set up for maximum control at high speeds and the rocket that gives the mount that incredible speed uses a 90 per cent hydrogen peroxide fuel mix.

No sticky bottles needed; the bike's kick away from the start line is absolutely awesome, with the light mount and rocket a devastating combination.
