This motorbike's wing mirror may have been left on the road along with this very shocked rider at Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, but the driver didn't stop.
Riding the classics and semi classics in Belgium with a WorldTour team is a huge deal for the home riders, but for one of their number Sunday's Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne did not go according to plane.
Lotto-Soudal rider Stig Broeckx was riding at the front of the peloton on outside in the 200km when he peeled off to his right with around 35km remaining.
Unknown to him, an official race motorbike - carrying driver and passenger - was passing the bunch at the time.
.@StigBroeckx is at the hospital for further examinations after his crash at @KuurneBxlKuurne. More info later.

And though there appeared to be plenty of space, the driver barely changed his line in trying to avoid Broeckx, connecting hard with the 25-year-old.
He was sent flying to the ground, looking more than a bit dazed and confused, and had to be taken to hospital.
Such was the impact that the motorbike's wing mirror broke off and was left on the road.
However, the driver did not stop and even appeared to speed up after the collision; perhaps in an effort to get out of the way and no cause any further damage.
Moto madness
