This video shows the progress being made on Ireland's latest greenway for cycling and walking, covering the route from Tralee to Fenit in Co Kerry.
Mountain Biking Kerry has commissioned the clip below which shows clearance of a 6km section of the railway line from Fenit village to The Spa.
“This short film gives a glimpse as to what the final product will look like and the commendable progress made by Kerry County Council to date,” said Mountain Biking Kerry’s Anluan Dunne.
“We look forward to the greenway being completed in 2021 and other projects such as the Tralee Urban Bike Park and North Kerry Way starting.”

The Tralee-Fenit greenway will be 10km
in length and is the start of the southern end of Great Southern Greenway.
The Tralee to Fenit and Kilmorna to Listowel greenways both reached a significant milestone with sod turnings performed by Minister for State Brendan Griffin TD last November.
When they are finalised they will form part of a 100km cycling and walking route from Limerick to Fenit, passing through Listowel and Tralee.
They are receiving some €6.5 million in
funding from the Strategy for the Future Development of National and Regional
Greenways.
That money is effectively being topped
up by €1.2 million generated by an increase in local property tax.
