Kris Boeckmans of Lotto Soudal gets the kind of sticky bottle - up a climb - at the RideLondon-Surrey Classic that Vincenzo Nibali would be proud of.
Tom Boonen (Etixx-QuickStep) may have come away from the RideLondon-Surrey Classic today with victory, but one of his compatriots was having a testing time at the other end of the field.
Kris Boeckmans of Lotto Soudal suffered a crash early in the event and took what looks in this video to be a pretty epic sticky bottle from his team car.
The footage was record of the Belgian out the back in the cavalcade going up a climb and it must be said it doesn’t look great for him at all.
However, in his favour he did come off and abandoned the race pretty soon afterwards so it may have been the case that he was simply trying to stay in the cars so that he could abandon and get into a team car.
