The TV camera operators were really on ball at the Tour of Poland yesterday, capturing a series of bizarre incidents.

A small pony ran into the peloton at one point; bringing a number of riders out the back.

The pony caused a temporary split before one of the riders (clearly with pony experience - Ed) expertly guided it into a side road.

Peter Sagan (Bora-hansgrohe) blew pretty spectacularly and lost the yellow jersey.

He went out the back on a climb 30km out and would lose nearly 16 minutes.

Jack Haig (Orica-Scott) won the stage; taking his first pro win after breaking clear solo with over 15km remaining.

He broke free from a 12-man select group and had too much in the tank for the chasers.

Wout Poels (Team Sky) sprinted in for 2nd from the chase group 51 seconds later but thought he’d won.

Dylan Teuns (BMC) would finish in the chase group and take the race lead back.
